— Ayan Muse

“Oh my god I was born in dagahalay. We weren’t in the refugee settlement area we had our own restaurant and house in A11. I remember we also used to go and visit my grandma in a place near dagahalay called Daarfuul. It has red sand and beautiful trees. We left dagahalay in 2009 and thank god we live in the United States now. Dagahalay was a beautiful place sometimes honestly. I do miss everything about that small town shall I say.”
